WSJ-Starbucks’s New Boss Gets an Unusual Perk: Remote Work
Raheela Anwar had the opportunity to share Group 360’s perspective and research with the Wall Street Journal on a relatively uncommon CEO Perk: Remote Work.
”Executive leaders with impressive track records, relevant experience and results are finding this hiring environment stronger than ever. Companies often make exceptions for senior-level employees as part of late-stage negotiations to hire someone in a key role. This was a prime example of a company doing what was needed to snag a star executive.”
”With leaders, especially of global organizations, both traveling extensively and being 'on call' across time zones, it isn’t really remote work, it's 24-hour work. Our research also shows consistently the top two reasons for individuals not wanting to relocate: children in high school and care of elderly parents.”
